I did a quick search on Hotels.com and here is the results
It looks like they have a Travelodge for $69 per night, a Super8 for $79, a Days Inn for $80 and a Quality Inn for $85. Those are all in Pasadena, so the travel to the Rose Bowl shouldn't be more than 10 mins or so for any of them.
Running the same search on Travelocity gave similar results, with the Travelodge for $69, the Super8 for $79, the Days Inn for $74, and the Quality Inn for $80
Of these 4 hotels:
The Quality Inn & the Super8 say they have non-smoking rooms
All except the Quality Inn say they have high speed internet access (no mention of charges)
All except the Days Inn have free parking
All 4 have free breakfast.
It looks like they're all along the same road just off the 210, along about a 3 mile stretch of Colorado Blvd, and the order of closeness to the Rose Bowl is:
Travelodge
Super8
Quality Inn
Days Inn.

 

I often go to LA for business Trips and the Crime in Pasadena and surrounding areas is outrageous.. My worry is that people mess with my mini.. I willing to pay a little more for that peace of mind.
