Has anyone taken their Mini in to any local shops in Reno for routine service and if so, would you recommend them? Our mini is now off of it's service plan and we're a bit weary of the Sac/Bay area trips for service (although we tend to make a vacation out of them).

 

I've used R&T Automotive based in Sparks for all of my servicing and modding. The guy Kim who does all of the work is a BMW specialist so minis are no problem. The number for R&T is 775 351 1820 I hope that's some help!

 

There is also a place off Glendale called Gilson's.He has a place in Carson City too and is a BMW fanatic. Has a 2007 Coupe! Anyways, I have sent a few minis his way and have never heard a bad thing so far. I just hit 36,800 miles on my 2005! So no more Niello trips for me. The mini runs great. See ya motoring! We do a lot of Work on MINI's. Our BMW tech John Trautwein has been through all the MINI training classes and has quite a bit of experience with everything from routine maintenance to suspension work to full engine replacements. I am glad to hear there is a shop right here in Sparks that can help my daughter and me with her "new" '04 Mini S. I was reluctant to take it to the Minis of Reno dealership after hearing a story or two. I'll call and share some issues that I hope you (and John) can help us with!
