I have the mounting plates from a jcw strut bar (the bar broke). Or i can send you all the pieces and find someone to weld/repair and get a nice strut bar for cheap.

Holy cow! And that was a JCW strut bar?! Surprised the quality didn't hold up. How much are willing to let it go for...?

LOL sorry, I was j/k. I broke it accidentally when it was out of the car.
I would let it go for the cost of shipping plus something to make it worth my time to pack it and drop it off somewhere.

Oh, haha! Good one. You had me going there!
Tell me, did you notice a difference with it on and now off again? There has been some debate over the physics of diff types of strut bars btwn me and a friend.

Those do go under the strut towers, so they're not exactly just bolt on...

I didn't really notice a difference. I'm on tein springs with stock shocks, maybe you could notice the difference with a track spring / shock setup.
I am somewhat skeptical because the weak point is a small threaded rod at each end. This is fine if the loads applied are purely axial with the bar, but I don't see how the jcw design would reduce torsional or bending.

From my engineering days, a larger cross section is best for bending and torsional resistance, so I would try to buy a bar that has the largest cross-section from end to end.
