2005 MCS - 6MT - Clean + cared for, high miles w/ light mods

Year: 2005
Make: MINI
Model: Hardtop
Price: $4000
Mileage: 206000
Color: Black
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (Region): Midwestern

I'm considering selling my 2005 R53 MINI Cooper S to upgrade to a clubby. I'm the second owner of the car and I've had it since May 2010. During my ownership it's been serviced by the MINI specialists at Detroit Tuned. Milage is currently at 206k and will be rising as it's my daily driver.

Black w/ white roof, factory checkered top.
Red mirror caps + craven speed tow hook
Charcoal interior w/ heated sport seats and multi-function wheel
Manual climate control + factory CD radio w/ aux input.
Sport package w/ DSC, fog lights + hood stripes.
Non-smoker, clean interior.
15% SC Pulley
Alta CAI
WMW Sports stainless cat-back exhaust
Stoptech brake pads + slotted rotors.

I've always changed the oil with Royal Purple every 5k miles, and kept up with other regular service items. Always used genuine MINI parts except when upgrades were recommended by my MINI shop.

The good stuff:
  • Recently replaced the starter, alternator, serpentine belt and tensioner. New exhaust manifold last spring. Tie rods and sway bars were done as part of a front end refresh around the same time.
  • At 130k miles, the original engine threw a rod so I had the guys at Detroit Tuned swap in a newer engine with only 80k miles, so there's about 150k on the engine.
  • Lots of service records going back to 2010 when I bought it with 79k miles.
  • No electrical issues or check engine lights of any kind.

The not great:
  • Headlamps and tail lamps are beginning to show mild hazing.
  • Small dime sized chip in the windshield.
  • Paint chips in the hood (typical for these cars) and light scratches along the top of the drivers door where my wife tried to clear the snow off it with a shovel :( Fortunately not through the primer.
  • Snow tires on it currently are getting pretty low on tread, and should probably be replaced within a year.

The bad stuff:
  • Cracks in the driver side seat bolster.
  • Seat height adjustment lever snapped off a couple years ago, never bothered to replace it (never use it).

Comes with factory white 5-spoke forged wheels. Roof rack cross-bars included if you want them, but the bike racks will stay with me.

The car is located in Detroit, MI.

Brian ... How were you able to select the make and model when creating your posting? The website is not allowing me to select either.

Seems that the problem only existed with the chrome browser... I had to use IE (gasp, boo and hiss!)
