I'm selling my 2004 Pepperwhite MCS
Why?
I have a new Convertible coming next month!!
Soooo... Now available for mid-August delivery:
The first of the Pepper White's in an S-series (Black bonnet stripes and black roof of course), loaded with all the features including NAV (with latest DVD disc just purchased from Navteq), Sport, Cold Weather, Premium, Cordoba Beige leather interior, Chrome caps, Driving lights, AERO kit, Anthracite interior, and beautiful 17" R90 wheels...
a fully-dressed 'Italian Job' MINI.
All this is dealer-installed, with the only aftermarket being the addition of a Sony 6-disk MP3/WMA CD changer in the boot, also professionally installed, providing non-stop tunes... when you aren't listening to the whiiiine of the supercharger!
I'm in North Carolina [28027] and want to find a happy new home for this beauty in mid-August when the new Cabrio arrives. There's only about 17,000 miles on the car, garage-kept and current on all maintenance.
2004 MCS total product as configured $34,202 when delivered new 11-2003
All factory warranties are intact and fully transferable as all appropriate work was accomplished by MINI dealers.
NOTE:
Current average NADA for this car *without* the R90 wheels or the Aero Kit is $26,650
Kelley Blue Book *without* Aero Kit and 'premium' wheels rates this car at $26,500 to $28,800
Just $25,500.

You "might" get $24000 for it. The aero kit I think detracts from the price a bit, and you'll never get the $2500 on top of the car for the price of the R90s.
I know, I bought mine with the aero kit and the $2500 R90 wheel package because I liked it, but I think one would be hard pressed to add anything extra to the price for the R90s...there are too many better/lighter wheels for way less.
And I have always found KBB and NADA optimistic by about $1500-2000.
But good luck though.
Oh, please don't think I'm degrading your MINI with a lower price than you want, but since you want to sell it for the Cabrio, I would go lower on the price....that is IF you REALLY want the Cabrio and aren't upside down on your current MINI.

Thanks for the comments/opinions [and the bump], though telling folks that their price is too high in the public forum ain't exactly friendly. You may be right, even if I don't understand your reasoning at the end.
In the end, the dealer will pay nearly what you suggest, so I'm completely unconcerned. Private party will likely pay near what I am asking. It'll get posted wide soon, then we'll know.
The reality is that if someone wants a well-dressed MCS, they'll need to pay what's being asked one way or the other... either they'll buy one with S-lites or some other basic wheel and have to add on a grand for whatever they actually want on there... and if they want the sharp look of the Aero Kit, it'll be another $2000 minimum to retrofit. For many buyers, it's way easier to get it financed-in at purchase rather than have to find three large in the piggy bank.
If they don't want the better wheels and the Aero kit doesn't do it for 'em, then they'll buy one from someone else I suspect.
<shrug> I'm cool either way.
Stick to...
...'your guns' Steve. I believe that you have the car priced fairly and equitably. You know that the forums always produce a bunch of lowballs.
This was especially true on Vortex... and now on NAM. Like you stated, if they don't want it here you can always get the 'lowball offer' from the dealer.
Folks will be surprised when the local dealer bumps it $3000 to $4000 !!!
At the very least take something in between to get some extra dough. Since your car is extra sweet.... someone will indeed be willing to pay for that.
