2 of the round black plastic center caps are missing from my wife's Sidewalk. I ordered replacements but the clips that hold them on are way too big. Does anyone know where to get the center cap for this car?
Wife's 2007 Mini Cooper S Convertible SIDEWALK EDITION w/JCW on the way!
So my wife and I recently purchased 2010 Mini Cooper S Mayfair Edition - 27,000 miles as replacement car for middle daughter starting 2nd year college. Wife has so much fun driving car -- needed to drive for few days to make sure safe for daughter -- that she went on the hunt for her OWN MINI for garage -- I've never seen my wife act this way about any car before -- really shocking our kids (13/19/23). Her hunt quickly locked in on Cooper S SIDEWALK EDITION with MALT INTERIOR. I've hunted and hunted -- only found a few up for sale -- hunting whole U.S. Anyone have any idea on the number of these cars that were produced in 2007/2008 years?
This morning -- I just purchased surprise for her -- 2007 Mini Cooper S Convertible SIDEWALK EDITION in SPARKLING SILVER METALLIC (A60) with the LEDER ENGLISH/MALT BROWN (LNPR) interior she loves so much. I found what I think is going to be a very unique fun addition to the garage -- the one I purchased has factory installed (per MyMINIvin check) JOHN COOPER WORKS KIT (S3ALA) -- verified with pics of the car -- looks like full kit still in place (JCW exhaust; JCW supercharger; JCW head; JCW Program; JCW air intake).
So my question to the SIDEWALK Club Members -- how common was this combination ?
So I was on here a while ago, but realize I never posted a pic, and thus never made the list. Pic above. The Toy is an 08 sparkling silver with malt interior cabrio, MCS, currently with 108k miles. I’ve put 70k on it since I got it 4 years ago. I recently added a CS 17% pulley, Alta CAI, and a Milltek cat back exhaust. It’s a blast! Oh, and if you haven’t tried a windscreen in the back seat (mine is the actual mini version, but I’m sure there are cheaper options), you don’t know what your missing. Fold it down for all the wind and noise you want, pop it up for highway driving to ease the load on the senses...
1) 2) Godiva 3) Grand Junction, CO 4) Mini calls it Sparkling Silver Mettalic, looks like gold to me 5) Cooper S 6) 60's 7) Never bothered to check Mensa 8) Life's Been Good To Me So Far (Joe Walsh) 9) No mods, full stock, loaded from the factory with pretty much everything but an automatic
Congratulations! I've had mine since the beginning. It was our first MINI, and we've now owned four all together. Two have been long gone, and our other care is a 2016 Clubby. Best cars around.
Enjoy your Sidewalk. Though clearly dated, still feels like a new car to me!
