Thanks!

kenchan,
Yep! It's PRO4 electric and R40 Nitro from HPI.
There is no class to race yet these day for brushless motor. You can enjoy the super fast speed of brushless in parking lot or some open practice at the track, but no official class to race. The fastest class of RC up to today is 1/8 scale Nitro. This one consider a Formula 1 in RC racing.
From what I remember Protoform use to make MINI Cooper S body, but some how they discontinued for some reason. You can still get the MINI Cooper made by TAMIYA in M03L chassis.

Getting back to the cars at radio Shack - the sale is this weekend ONLY - so it ends today. $9.99, your choice of CR/W or EB/B.
These are 1:24 scale - NOT the size of a matchbox as someone suggested earlier in the thread. They need a 9V in the controller and 3-AA's in the car. For a toy, they're not bad...
My local store had a stack of them when I got mine this morning - probably 20-30 of each color!

Uh-oh, I am in trouble now. I accidently ran over my cat while terrorizing him with my RC Mini. My girlfriend is not at all happy. He is not hurt but it scared him pretty badly. Anyway, be careful.
Bought five this morning for various cousins (and one for me!). My store still had maybe 20 more. Big sign on the window facing the street with a picture of a MINI Cooper.
Let me point out something to people who are new to R/C toys. There are only two frequencies that these things operate at. If you have two cars on the same frequency, they both receive signals from both controllers and get all confused. The red MINIs receive on one frequency, the blue ones on another. So if you want to buy more than one, make sure you buy one of each color. If you've got 3 kids, you're kinda screwed. There are only two frequencies.
(The more expensive R/C cars transmit on some sort of sub-frequency or something so that they don't conflict w/ each other.)
Oh - and here's a funny thing. Everyone complains about how the MINI looks like an R/C car with that antenna on the back of the roof - but these don't have any antenna! How wacked is that? I, for one, love the antenna! One of the car's most endearing features, to my eye. I was at the Sacramento Auto Show a couple of weekends ago and heard a little kid at the MINI booth asking his mom if they were real cars.
The Radio Shack cars also come with a set of three stick-on roof decals - Union Jack, US Flag, or checkered flag.
Now I gotta get out my model paints - BRG, bonnet stripes, and white wheels comin' up!

Well, I've got my 1:6 scale CR/W RC Cooper (with Union Jack!) that I got at Toys R Us the day before I ordered my '04 CR/W Cooper (With Union Jack). I'm also thinking about getting this one at work...

1:10 scale, scale speed of 122 MPH (so about 12 mph for real), $29.99
Circuit City website (removed link that does not seem to want to work).
