LOOKS LIKE A WINNER to me ! If you get a chance compare them to the BWM X3 and see if they look alike because the thule and yamika racks are listed for BWM but not the MINI. Then do a road trip to the west coast and negociate that $5 into lunch

NOT FAIR MY CAR WAS IN NJ FIRST DAMM EPA OWES ME $5.00

Interior is Carbon Black checkered cloth. Convenience/Comfort, Cold, Premium, front fogs (yeah, I should have added the rear one, too), auto, hifi sound, roof rails. This is a company car, so it's a daily commuter for me (80-90 miles per day) plus an errand vehicle during the day. No stick, no turbo, no light colored leather seats.

Check out the sharkfin antenna - that's a big improvement, unless the just haven't screwed in the dopey whip antenna yet.

Dealer is Inskip in Warwick, RI. Totally painless so far, but I haven't done the fun part yet.

Ah, yes the fabled Inskip! I have only read/heard great things about that place. Good for you to have this as your commuting car. I have a non S automatic and can say without any hedging (sorry about that word) that it is drives like a dream!

Mr. Ray - what the Hell is going on? Do you have any facts?

Congratulations Duncan Maio! PM has been sent to arrange the wire transfer .

Nice looking Clubman and I think the roof rails look great!I am very happy with them, very sporty, and I will keep them on my order...now about that color...BRG looks fab...might have to change my color -- just kiddin' Lady G .

Now, Mr. Ray, we must think of someway to help you out as this is a hard hit and must just be salt in the wound. But we're here for you and know that you will love your roof rails and your Clubman and we're still rooting for you for your delivery!!!

Whats going on if you din't figure it out by now is that My clubmanS with Roof Rails arrived on the ANIARA (first shipment of 09 in USA)9/13 in Jersey City where I was told that I would have it by 9/17. I was told by the delivery guy that they had to clear customs first before they went to VDC. On 9/18 our cars were at the VDC and were supposed to be delivered 9/20, however a group of cars including mine were held up by the EPA for '09 model year testing so others that have arrived later are being delivered before ours. The rest is a joke about my name and any one who was born in Jersey City had to have their birth certificates reissued by the state because blanks and info from hall of records were stolen and the goverment declared our birth certificates invalid. While things in the rest of the county may be bussiness as usual that has not been the case in NYC area since 9/11/01. Thats why I havent been stalking the VDC you cant get anywhere near the docks anymore without being questioned.

Mr. Ray that just plain sucks! I know that it is no consolation right now, but after you've been motoring in your MINI a few months you will be cruising along some curvy country road knowing that your car was in the very first production line for the 2009 Clubmans and that the EPA thought it so unique and special that they wanted it for testing purposes. You have paved the way for those of us in line for 2009's and we appreciate that and can't wait for you to actually be driving yours.

P.S. Glad to see you still have your sense of humor -- I agree that the EPA owes you $5!

Mr. Ray, I'm with you as I live in the same basic neck of the woods - here in Westchester County, NY, so I do understand.

Somehow I must have missed your post about the EPA having to test a bunch of cars. Don't blame you for being very frustrated.

Coopdy is right, however, that the EPA owes you and you should get the NAM award for the first 2009 Clubman owned by a NAM member to land in the USA!

The antenna is of thats how they come shipped. The dealer puts them on as far as I know. Rails look great Let me take this time to thank Mini for screwing us 08 people!!! Yes I know they have a fix for my rack (someday ) but the rails are much better in my opinion.

Hilarious! You must be coaching my husband.

I think I still have three days before that window of confusion, err I mean opportunity, is over and I can't make any changes. Next time I'm just buying off the lot .

Anyone know about the antenna? Seems strange that they would change them out, wonder if the fin style could be requested. Do I need to start another thread offering $5 for the first pic of the 2009 antenna?

I too like the rails and sincerely hope that a retro fit comes to you and the other 2008 owners!

Hey, Mr. Ray, I now realize where you and your compadres have been posting - the week 36 thread. Please keep us posted on what happens next. I am really amazed at all this. Keep the faith and hope our MINI paths will cross one day in the not too distant future.

Coopdy - your first "answer" on the color choice is always the best.
