Here is a used Mini Mania Ultrik cam, part#NME6045. 8000 miles on it. Was taken out to put car back to stock to sell. There are no grooves or flat spots on the lobes, and the bearing surfaces do not have any scoring. Car used only BMW synthetic changed at 3k intervals. Sells for $400 new.

I am interested in the camshaft, couple of questions:
This is for an S, correct?
Any problems at idle?
did you change timing at all?
What years does this fit?
did you have to do anything to the plugs for clearancing?

OK so what is going on here with this camshaft? It was just bought by you last weekend (I know I lost out to you). So why are you selling it now?

 

I actually never had it installed, so I'm not really the best person to answer your questions. Here's some data from the Mini Mania site, that answers some of your questions:

• Fits 2002-2006 R53 MINI Cooper S, and the 2005-2008 R52 MINI Cooper S Convertibles.
• Intake: Duration 264, Lift 9.5mm, overlap 0.5, peak timing 114, open at 18, close at 66.
• Exhaust: Duration 272, Lift 9.0mm, overlap 0.65, peak timing 114, open at 70, close at 22.

The link above has a instructions on how to clear the spark plugs too.

 

Haha, yeah, fair question. I was advised to get a different part in order to get the gains in the areas that I want. I was told that this part was good if you were looking for mid to top-end gains, I guess, but the RMW cam provided better low-end torque gains. That's all.

Silversmoke06 looked at it, in person, and said it was in great condition, so that is not a concern.
