Ok I couldn't wait, I wanted to see how the grills are going to look. And then I found out that the wrong side was painted, lol, so these pieces are being repainted. But you can see how it'll look..I think it looks sweet!

Will provide just enough red contrast to go with my wheels.

Thanks! It's been a long time coming--nearly a year of planning what I was going to do and just waiting and waiting and waiting until I could get my car into the rotation here at the shop...thanks! It's been a long road but it'll all be worth it very soon! Going to start reassembling the interior now. =)

Yep, you can see them already on the car. When I bought the MINI, it came with the MC side vents. I never liked that, and probably only because I had a Cooper before that with the same vents, and I really wanted something different, lol.

Cool! Missed that the first time around.

I was going to say, earlier, BIG difference in the "before" (out of storage) and "after" pics of your car! I should bring my car to you sometime for a good detail. Of course, mine's lighter colors, so I won't get that same "pure sex" look to the paint that the darkers cars get.

Haha thanks! Well light or dark, the paint can always be improved!!

I know I've gotten way off topic from just showing my wheels, so hopefully this thread will be wrapped up soon.

Yes I know my interior is a mess! Going to do a complete detail and photo documentary next week, lol.

Airbag ring, tach, and boost gauge still need painting.

Ugh I see swirls, but the new vent looks SOOOOOO much better. Under normal lighting the red is much more subtle, just like the wheels.

I've got a hot water extractor that sort of works on it, but I've actually got another set of leatherette seats in space grey that I've been meaning to install, lol. But now I'm looking at another set of black leather and red cloth seats that I may acquire instead--trying to find out if it has seat heaters or not cause that's a deal breaker...can't live without them for my bad back.

re: dirty cars
Yeah my shop is situated alongside a major freeway and its impossible to avoid the dust and dirt--once it's washed it stays that way for only a few minutes. Oh and the dirty interior is cause...well I practically live in my car during my 100 mile daily commutes and besides I'm a father to a 3 year old and that's the excuse I'm sticking to..lol.
