Every one did a great job of tracking through the Canal, Thanks!!!
The first she will appear on AIS is off the northern end of Baja coast, this is usually any where for 18 - 30 hours prior to the arrivial date at Port Hueneme.

PORT HUENEME

The port has two berths for RO/RO ships and in this pic both ships are of
the WW lines. There is no live port cam so no way of seeing port activity.

This is a short video of the port and has a few pics of WW ships.

Thanks for the time frame Tharkun. Nice little video too. To bad it did not show any MINI's being unloaded.

The Eukor site has a Quiktime clip of "loading & lashing", the WW ships are
of the same design so loading/unloading would be the same process.

Cool stuff. Thanks. I can definitely see why cars get damaged during shipment. Those guys drive like Mario Andretti!!!

With the ships average price tag of $50mil, carrying a crew average of 30, add on the canal fees for west coast ships, and it is simple math...time = money.
In seraching for info in the PCC/PCTC ships, the crew has a rather good life aboard, nice cabins, rec room, and some have swiming pools. From what I have learned, they have enough crew aboard to load/unload vehicles without needing port help, so they can load/unload any time they enter a port.

Good luck! It's been fun. Enjoy those buttery seats. I assume you're still changing your order to upgrade the seats. Anything else you're going to change?

Try this:
http://aisfree.aislive.com/Influx.as...Coast%20Mexico
From here you should be able to navigate up and down the coast.

Here is one for the Panama Pacific Anchorage:

Here's a great post with lots of great links:

Plus you have the advantage of being close to Oxnard, so if the VDC is not back logged, you should have your Mini soon.
I was just thru your area yesterady morning on the way back from Disneyland. We had a short discussion about spending the day at MM but passed on it this trip.

Yep. I am so temped to drive out there (1 hour) to see if I could get a glimpse of my car (or anything for that matter).

This last trip was using the Frontier, three people and luggage in the Mini did not
seem like a great plan. Want to make a trip back down to MM before winter, so will message if we do.

Same here! I can't wait. :impatient I was very surprised it got through the VDC so quickly. It's true - the closer it gets the worse the wait is.
