Lost on Classing

I've read the 2025 Solo rules book and I'm a little lost on classing my car. Anyone offer an assist? I *THINK* I fall into Prepared X but I'm just not sure. Here's the rundown:

2005 Mini Cooper S, 6 Speed

Alta 17% Pulley
450CC Injectors
RMW Dominator Cam
Tune By Jan and RMW
Detroit Speed Diverter Valve
Milltek Header with Sport Cat
Milltek Catback Exhaust (Nonresonated)
DDM Works Cold Air Intake
Snow Performance Water/Mathanol Injection (Into SC horn for Cooling IAT's)
Single Mass Flywheel Conversion

Stuff that doesn't add power but just to give you an idea of whats done to the car:
Koni STR.T Shocks/Struts
H&R Springs
Mishimoto Aluminium Radiator
Short Throw Shifter
19mm Rear Sway Bar
JC Speedtail Wing

I'm sure I'm missing somethings. This winter/Spring I plan on removing the stock seats in favor of a rear seat delete, Harness bar and a set of racing seats.

OEM LSD I hope? Otherwise what's the point?

Either SM or XP - take your choice - frying pan or fire?

Either way, show up, get seat time, and have fun! No one is going to challenge you, as the car will not be competitive.

Cheers,

Charlie

Yikes. Not Competitive? That kind of takes the fun out of it, doesn't it? I'm just looking to have some fun but if the class is full of cars that will blow my doors off and give me a hard time for being slow, than that sorta defeats the purpose. I'm in Mass and I see youre a member of NER. Is there even a point to me showing up if this is the case?

OH HELL YES!

If your goal is to enjoy the heck out of that brilliant car then come!
If your goal is to learn a great deal of car control, and self control, and mental discipline then come!
If your goal is to meet a whole bunch of really nice half crazy folks and make long friendships then come!

And...

If your goal is to be a Regional or National Champion then come. NER has MANY such folks, and they like novices and some are very good teachers.
>> And also, in the first year or two get SEAT TIME - try and make 500 mistakes and notice them all.
>> And also, consider the Evolution School, if they come by inn 2026 (they are the best).
>> And then finally, after a couple of years - if your interest and learnings warrant it - go spend money on a car that will be competitive in the class of your selection, and then (you guessed it) COME!

In other words, SHOW UP!

Tell 'em Charlie sent you...

Cheers,

Charlie

(PS: My breathed on Works Cooper ain't competitive either, it runs in STU and there's a Fiat 124 (one of the new ones) that kicks butt, runs fast at Nationals, and weighs many hundreds of pounds less and has rear wheel drive and 245mm tires. C'est la vie mon cher.)

Cheers,

Charlie
