Solo Annual Tech?
Annual Tech?
On our quest to improve our region's solo events, how many of your regions/clubs do an annual tech on cars?
1. What is the criteria/inspection process.
2. Do you have a "tech day" seperate from the regular solo event set aside?
3. How many take advantage of this?
4. Does it speed up the event process?
If you can, please show you club links to you tech rules page if you have an on-line site.
Thanks,
Mark

All you need to know. http://www.sfrscca.org/solo2/Results...nual_tech.html
The 2004 series averaged 229 competitors over 15 events. The less people you have to tech each event the quicker things go.

minifinn: The Chicago Region procedure can be found here http://www.scca-chicago.com/solo/annual_tech.html
Worked well last year
1) see link above
2) No, at your first event just tell them you want an annual (bring your rule book)
3) Not really sure but I'd say 100 drivers were qualified for the program.
4) Yes it does
This is the best part of our program:
"It is our understanding, at this time, that our Annual Tech sticker will be honored at all Tri-State Sports Car Council, Milwaukee Region and Wisconsin Autocrossers, Inc. Solo events. It is best to inquire at these events' registration/checkin table to be sure."
If I remember correctly WAI backed out but three out of four is pretty good.
So to make your program "look better" to your membership contact Rick Ruth at solo@scca-chicago.com. If your program is patterned after the Chicago/Milwaukee/Tri-State program maybe he can add you to the list.
