MINI USA, Please give us crashbolts!

How do we convince MINI to give us crash bolts like Toyota does for the Celicas? Can we start contact with MINI? Who do we call/write? I NEED NEGATIVE CAMBER!

Mmmm, what's a crash bolt? (ya never know if ya don't ask. for all I know I may have a barrel of the things sitting in my garage just waiting to help somebody who needs them, but I can't help them 'cuz I don't know what they are.)

It will never happen with the current suspension design. Our strut bolts directly onto the top of the steering knuckle.

The Toyota design is different. It uses 2 bolts which bolt the flange on the strut body to the knuckle.

SpunkytheTuna, a crash bolt has an ecentric head that alows you to adjust the camber setting.

Ah, OK. I don't have a barrel of those in the garage. I do have some nicely sheared off stainless allen heads, some stripped out stainless button heads and a handful of nylock nuts with the nylon melted out of them in case anybody needs them.

Be careful what you wish for. IMHO both the HS MINI and GS MINI S are a set of effective* crash-bolts away from being moved up a class.

*effective defined as allowing ~2.0 degrees of static negative camber at the front wheels.
