gonna post a few updated videos later tonight, BUT:
can anyone give any idea how much travel R56's have before reaching their bumpstops? Especially with the JCW springs, I have the feeling I am flat out just sitting on them, and it is dominating the behavior of my suspension. May experiment with shorter bumpstops in the future here.

small update: I am the lone Mini Cooper driver signed up so far for Spring Nats this year - I'm codriving with a local hotshoe, who I think honestly could win the thing if he stays clean. Yes - this is for Mini pride!!
Absolutely AWESOME! Congratulations! What do you think was the key mechanical mod for success, above and beyond driver skill? You've got a lot of Classic and New MINI racers here cheering you on!

It's all driver skill I guess. I did not do much to my Mini yet. It only has dead RE71R's while the other Mini's probably have coilovers, etc. I'm not new to driving Mini's. I've driven an R53 on Hoosiers and R56 JCW Tune and suspension already so I'm familiar with the platform. If anything, they handle very similar to Hondas, tail slapping and underpowered.
You really need to walk the course more. You are very hesitant at fast parts. Either you look up further, find apexes and hit them or really memorize the course. You need to be more aggressive on the throttle too. I know Lincoln can be very intimidating, and a lot is at stake. Just relax. Did you have fun at least?
Here's my grand 3rd place finish today at the local club.

course is memorized for sure, I think the problem is I'm just not that good lol. i don't know how fast to go to be able to be able to hit the line - usually it's a matter of going too fast. I'll try to focus more on the line tomorrow, which will be the course in reverse
the other side! a few spots near the end I was pushing a little wide/turning in late. overall, did about how I expected to, and learned a great deal while I was there! not sure if i'll be able to go to nats do to work and life, but I will definitely be looking forward to the next chance I get to go out there.
Charlie Thompson slayed seven Ford Focus ST's on his way to 13th in GS. Rob beat 16 Ford Fiesta ST's to win HS and Craig beat 37 BRZ/FR-Ss in winning STX.
