I'm curious what paint markings are on other cars and which options they have.
Checking the BMW/Mini part number on the Xenons 2.12 pounds (yes, that includes the ballast) by BMW's information on the part. The Standard headllight weighs 1.45 pounds. Both the numbers are on left head lights.

I think it's a myth anyone who thinks a 15lb difference in their car is going to help their track time. D*m, go on an exercise program, lose a little weight, gain some muscle, gain some endurance. Hey, you have to be in shape, get a grip.

I just ordered my 2005 Mini. I couldn't resist, the Xenon's are SOOOO much better, I cannot justify driving THOUSANDS of miles to national events with crappy lighting in the name of a couple pounds. Besides, now my wallet will be lighter!!!
Saving just 15 lbs isn't worth it. For a vehicle weighing around 2,900 lbs this is half of one percent. Not really noticable. How about just going on a diet? We could all loose a few pounds and your weight is a higher center of gravity than the lights

We should start a MINI diet! The auto-x diet or something! LOL! Then we can strip ourselves down to the optimum racing weights before we start worrying about the weights of items on our MINIs! Tee hee!
But, let's wait until January 2, 2005 to start the new MINI eating plan!

My 04 MCS was 2456 with Xenon's. Not that it matters much, just figured I'd throw it out there for some info.

First there was Atkins, then South Beach. Personally I'm on two diets at the moment; there's not enough food in one.
