Anyone think we need a Rallycross Forum?

I would like to ask if we can start a Rallycross Forum since it is a national program with SCCA and some regions have healthy programs going.

Although the MINI is not perfectly suited for Rallycross it can be adapted and do reasonably well against other FWD cars and even beat out some AWD.

In Rallycross driving skill counts the most. A little grip doesn't hurt. Snowtires are nice and fit the MINI just fine. In fact if you live in a place with snow you don't have to buy a new set of competition wheels, just use the winter set in the dirt or gravel.

This is only the 2nd thread on RallyX I've seen this year. I'm not opposed to putting a forum up if it's going to get used, but I'd like to see a little more activity in that direction before we dedicate a whole forum to it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Countryman elevated interest in RallyX as well

SCCA Rallycross has been around for awhile.

The Countryman All4 is a natural for Rallycross with just the addition of snow tires and maybe a skidplate. Or you can run it stock.

I have seen the Suzuki SX4 at rallycross do really well with summer tires.

Others may have more access to rallycross if their area supports it due to a lack of a parking lot or track available and ample access to a large field.

Having a forum will make it easy for owners to find info on how to get started, what have others done so far, and what generally works or not.

OK, if anyone else is interested in Rallycross then we can start a general thread about the sport and in particular if you want to use your MINI then great.

I'd rather have one basic thread about getting started and build on that.

Anyone doing Rallycross in their MINI yet?

Countryman with AWD would be good but even the FWD would work with the right tires.
