A subclass for front wheel drive cars in SM class

Post if you are now in this class and how you are doing.

 

You are a little behind the times... SMF has been a supplemental class since the beginning of 2009. If you want it to be a full class, and not die on the vine, get out to National events, especially the Solo Nationals.

 

We have good attendance, usually between 5-8 cars. So far, I am second in the points for the year behind a Civic. I got's me some nice RE-11's now, so hopefully I can put some presure on him(he runs R-comps).

Nice to not have to compete against the Evo's and STi's

 

SMF is a neat concept, I just noticed we actually have 6 SMF drivers registered for the Toledo Pro Solo- enough to run as a real class without being bumped into a combined class. It should be fun!!!

SMF is not happening in my region though we have some front wheel drive cars in SM class.

If national has declared SMF as it's own official class then we will adopt it.
Otherwise we will be waiting and watching.

 

We have 4-6 cars here at the Red River Region SCCA and looks like something the MINI cooper be competitive in, that is until more people can afford K-Series swapped Civic Hatches......
