Hi,

I'm about to get a new set of tires for my 15x5.5'' wheels...my car has stock suspension and set-up and everything. my question is which tires in what size would be best suited for autocross? Thanks for any help

 

The best are Hoosiers A6 and Kumho V710

 

As Mike said, the Hoosier A6 and the Kumho V710 are the best......both have a 205/50/15 that would be a good fit.....but, the new breed of street tires are very very good and you would prolly get a full season on them....PLUS, they are about half as much as the A6/V710's....Grassroots Motorsports just did a test on the new street tires...check it out.

 

yeah i should have mentioned i'm trying to stay with street tires. thanks for the recommendation wolf, i just checked that out

 

Right now, the Dunlop Direzza Star Spec Z1s are the tires to beat. The bang for the buck isn't bad for the amount of grip you get.

I've got them and really like them. However, I think I may go with a cheaper alternative when these are finished. This stuff being said, I'd never owned a tire with such an aggressive nature, so I don't really have a great basis for comparison.
