Yep - STX is the "lowest" class for which all of those mods are legal, so that's the class you want.

EDIT - bad information. See subsequent posts.

Control arms with Heim Joint ends (yours) are an ST* no-no if the original part uses bushings if I'm not mistaken. Maybe Street Prepared? Or is this another one-way ticket to SM?

Crap. Nice call, SMD - I forgot that the Alta arms used Heim joints. Street Prepared doesn't allow you to change bushing types, either, so it looks like SM-ville for the OP.

So it's SM on street tires. Around here that translates to getting your a$$ handed to you to the tune of 6+ seconds per minute on a good day. Just have fun for a season, and, if your competitive side rears it's ugly head, put your aftermarket parts up for sale, and put the proceeds towards the R tire fund.

Depending on your local club, there may be an "SMX" class as well. Basically, you get all of the SM-allowed mods (and the lousy SM PAX factor), but you're only ranked against other SM cars that are also on street tires.

That way, you're not competing for points/trophies against the SM guys that are running R-comp tires.

My club does the same thing for Stock-class cars. So the stock MINIs on R-comps compete in GS, while the stock MINIs on street tires compete in GSX.
