Strut Tower Camber Adjustment

Hi all,

Since I don't have a service manual for my '07 (are they even available?), I was wondering if it was g-stock legal to remove the hex head screw altogether when adjusting camber with the strut tower slots. From Per Schroeder's write-up on Grassroots, it seems like you can, but I just want to be sure so that I don't get protested on it if I don't have the hex head screw in. Thanks for any info.

John

Yes, you can remove it and adjust as desired. It is perfectly legal.

Thanks! That's what I was told by a good source, but just wanted confirmation. Good to know!

Bump for pre-season setup of an r56.

What's the reasoning behind this? Is it in the FSM for alignment adjustment or for adjustment after an accident?

Just want to stay 100% in the rules and still have fun.

Thanks
-John

How much negative camber can you get up front for stock class within the allowed adjustment methods?

what model?

R53 - lucky to get .5 degree
R56 - .5 to .9, but generally at the lower end.

Hmmm... my alignment shop was able to get -0.5 without removing the screw (R56). Sounds like I could get a fair bit more w/ it removed. That would rock!
