Has anyone tried Formula V Traction Compound?

Currently, I'm running Azenis' 615's. Having had them for about 3 years, I'm all too aware of the greasing problem they have when they heat up. Well, after I talked to a few roadracers I tried the Formula V. What it's supposed to do is soften the rubber and bond it better (or something like that). I applied the compound to the front tires for our last race and they didn't seem to grease up nearly as much, where as the rears did feel to grease up about the usual. I can't really physically feel any difference betweenn the tires, so I'm wondering if it's the real deal or if it's a bit of a psychological thing.

Anyways, has anyone ever tried this?

I have been using Formula V on Azenis and VictoRacers for years. The stuff really does work. I recently pulled out a set of Azenis RT-215's that have been sitting in my shed for quite some time. I use the fingernail method to test the softness, and they were very hard. After 3 days of treatment, they began to soften and retain fingernail indents. I treated them for a total of 5 days.
That being said, I won the street tire class by a mile, and was 2nd overall in Pax with my H-Stock Mini.

It does help but for a given tire the effect will be less as the tire hardens more with time or with use and you can expect benefit up to a certain point.

Eventually the treatment will be of minimal effect. You can stretch the life of the tire only so long.

$40 a gallon and you have to plan ahead for an event. During the event the effect will wear off if the rubber is hard before treatment.

You can paint it on with a brush or roller and use a drip pan. Use gloves. Let it dry and apply three coats each day for 5 days.
