Hear Ye, Hear Ye!

The MINI5280 Holiday Party announcement has arrived. Please make your plans to attend this year's event, the biggest and bestest ever! Here are the details for your social calendars (don't even tell us you have plans already. You don't!):

• Sunday, December 11th, 4:00 pm to 8 pm or so
• The Coolbaugh House on the Colorado School of Mines campus in Golden, CO. MINI5280 Nancy Bierbaumer is our hostess and coordinator, and she graciously has made all the arrangements so far. See the Volunteer section, below.
• Afternoon ride meets at the Coolbaugh at 4:00 pm (in other words, you come drop off the creamed carrots, THEN we go for a ride. You don't want creamed carrots all over the inside of a MINI, do you?)
• We MOTOR for an hour or a bit more before, then maybe again after
• Then we make party. This is a pitch-in dinner, with the club providing the meat and the decorations and the setups and the miscellaneous stuff.
• You bring a dish to share.
• We will have some Holiday CAR-oling
• We will have a White EleMINI exchange
• and more fun. We have of course invited our friends at MOTR Minis of the Rockies and asked them to join with us.
• For THIS event, we will have the normal MINI5280 Calendar entry (it is already there) but we want you to RSVP HERE and indicate what item you will pitch in
• Volunteers are needed to help with a bit of the planning. Please contact Nancy Bierbaumer if you can help us with our planning. It won't take much, but it is important. Nancy can be reached as follows:

• Rick Gonzales (Membership@MINI5280.org) has volunteered to do the invitations and artwork.
• Menu - we need a bit of help planning what we will have, ie what the club will bring and suggestions for what you can bring
• The Ride. We need a before and after ride coordinator. What would a MINI event be without a ride?
• White MINIphant exchange (or) Gift Collection for our charity, Children's Hospital
• Gifts for members for the stockings that will be hung with car. Uh, make that care.
• Setup and Cleanup. This should be a snap. This is an easy facility to work with
• Music and or entertainment. Remember, this is a PG event (read family) so we have some guidelines
• MINI related ornaments and decorations
• Photos: Santa may make an appearance and if he does, we will have photos of all the adult boys and girls sitting on Santa's lap.

If YOU have a creative noggin or even just some ideas, NOW is the time to step forth and contact Nancy. She is a great person and supportive of our club and cause, but she cannot (and will not be allowed to) do it all her self. Even if you cannot help, if you do have suggestions, please send a note to Nancy.
