New So Cal race track proposal
New So Cal race track proposal
I am copying a post from SCCM with regards to a proposed new race facility in the Lancaster area. They have been having meetings with the local government agencies and so far things are going well . It is getting down to the last few hurdles and they need our support via email . There is a link to the track and some info as to how we can help in the following post.

Please take a few minutes out of your day to visit this website and then click on the link at the bottom "Lend your voice to support Fairmont Butte Motorsports Park."
Even if you do not race or attend driving schools, this is a great venue for all of us. I only wish the politicians in San Diego County would even consider something like this. We in this area are at the mercy of the Indian reservations, bless their heart, but we have no motorsport parks in San Diego County that support sports cars.
This new track will be slightly closer than Willow Springs and Buttonwillow for many of us.
Now look at this plan and drool...

Dear Fairmont Butte Motorsports Park Supporters,
As always, I thank you for on-going support of Fairmont Butte Motorsports Park.
Although we continue to move quickly and surely to comply with the County’s requirements for our project, it doesn’t always work the other way around.
This last hearing on June 9 was supposed to move us closer to approval. Instead, the County continued the hearing to August 18 to give it time to complete its findings regarding the project and to address a water rights lawsuit against the County that affects a number of projects in the Antelope Valley, including ours. The lawsuit is has nothing to do with our project specifically, but we must wait for the County to address the issue.
We remain confident that our project is on track and expect to move forward as previously planned on the new August hearing date.
The continued hearing will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Los Angeles County Hall of Records, Room 150, at 320 West Temple Street, Los Angeles.
You are welcome to attend and support our project.
