NASA GTS race at MSR-C video
Here is the link from last weekend's races in Texas.
Jason & I each raced a race on Saturday and were supposed to do the same Sunday. As it turned out, he raced in race 1, I raced 2 & 3 while he was to race in race #4. Some mental giant in the previous race blew an engine then proceeded to take a cooldown lap and spread oil everywhere.
Needless to say, race 4 got cancelled.
The GTS-2 guys were really fast, we really had no close competition in GTS-3. The winning GTS3 Porsche 996 was 4 sec/lap faster than us so he disapeared into the GTS4 group. Everyone else in GTS3 could not even battle with the MINI.
Race was 2 was fun battling the S2000, while race 3 the GTS4 Audi was my target. You can see by lap four that the unbeatable 996 which started 12 cars back comes charging through the field, no way to hold him off.
Overall it was a great weekend, Jason set a new record for the Mini with a 1:22.0 in qualifying!
