OCTANE MOTORSPORT & ADEX TO PARTNER AT LE GRAND-PRIX DE TROIS-RIVIÈRES
Montréal, Québec – The Octane Motorsport racing team announced today that ADEX Systems would provide support and sponsorship to the race team for the Trois-Rivières Grand-Prix, from August 15 to the 17.
“We are proud to have a quality partner like ADEX,” announced Alain Lauzière, Team Principal and Driver for Octane Motorsport. “Since we met the team for the first time, what impressed us the most is the team’s determination and the quality of their workmanship. Everything is executed with passion and without compromise, attributes that our company shares,” mentioned Mr. Rafael Bao, President of ADEX.
ADEX will take advantage of the Grand-Prix ambiance to invite a large contingent of clients and ADEX product users. “For us, it’s the perfect occasion to spend quality time with our customers; the event should reinforce our relationship with them while learning to know them better in a festive surrounding” commented Mr. François Corriveau, ADEX Marketing Director.
The Octane Motorsport team will not be lacking challenges during the Trois-Rivières weekend. After a perfect weekend during the last event at the Grand-Prix de Mirabel where the MINI Cooper won the 2 races after starting on the pole position, the Castrol Canadian Touring Car series officials announced that the MINI Cooper’s minimum weight would be raised by 100 pounds. “What’s worrisome”, mentions Louis-Philippe Allard, crew-chief for the team “is not the extra 100 pounds, but the 100 pounds in addition to the 80 pounds of reward weight that we’ll have to carry, based on our two second places and two victories since the beginning of the season. That’s a total of 180 additional pounds to carry on the track that is known to be the hardest on brake systems,” commented Allard. “But we’re ready, we have made the necessary modifications and we look forward to the challenge!”

It was a tough weekend for us. We went through 3 MAP sensors so the results aren't very exciting. Thanks to the kind crew at RSR for the assistance. A formal report to come later, but here's a video of the Saturday race:
