So evidently there's an annual "Celebrate Minis" day in the UK on the 2nd Sunday of June (see other thread link). This year that would be 8 June. Is anybody up for working in a little celebration/BBQ? I don't know of anyplace in Richmond (spend more time down here in Petersburg) where we could go to do BBQ and parking. Anybody up for it? Any suggestions for location? If I get a little help w/info, I can help set it up...?

I had to indefinitely postpone the tech day. My wife is not well, and the likelihood that this event will ever take place is next to nil.
We had been pretty good about getting together on the first Monday of every month for ice cream. The forum is down (and has been for a while), but I imagine there will be a strong desire for ice cream in early August...

Hello Richmond MINI friends. Someone just sent me this link:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=146660
Sounds like a good time. I'm going to try and make it, and I hope some of you can, too. There's a link to pre-register on the 7Cities Mini club website if you're interested - also detailed info on location. You can also register on site (although the line to do so might be long) It's about $5 (cash) per person entrance fee, and the big parade is supposed to start at 2pm.
Tchuss!

Welcome to the MINI world, Cruella! I hope someone else chimes in, but I don't think this is an active club. I moved away for a few years and recently moved back...and this board hasn't moved!
If you'd like a taste of the Motoring life while the Richmond club rejuvenates, I ended up joining (and still am a member) of The Tar Heels MINI Motoring Club (THMMC.) They are based out of NC, but membership goes as far north as Maine, south as Florida, and west as far as...well, far. I heard there is also a Hampton Roads club, I believe.
I'd like to see a Richmond club start up/restart, I'm just too transient to do it myself!
But again, welcome and congrats!

I'd like to know where everyone went, too!!! I've seen a couple of "modded" Coopers rolling around here and there around Richmond. I've even seen a couple with some round RVA MINIs stickers. Would be nice to have something local. Anyways, my name is Dave. I'm here.....lol. I suppose that's that.

Hi Dave.
RVA MINIs would be the Richmond area MINI motoring group. Check out www.RVAminis.com or the facebook group as well. www.facebook.com/groups/rvaminis
