Next mini engine mod??

hello,

I own a 2013 mini cooper s paceman r61 and i already installed a cold air intake and I'm looking into buying a JB+ but i want to get more creative with my build, any recommendations?

I'm not sure creativity typically goes well with engine modification, but maybe you can prove me wrong

By creative I mean that i dont just want to slap a tune in there, this may sound weird but i kinda want a challenge cuz part of moding a car is for the experience of installing the mod.

Your car is almost 10 years old, and the engine platform is almost 18 years old! There isn’t much new to be found from modifying these things.

The intake doesn’t get you much, especially since the Paceman / Countryman engine bay is pretty sealed up from the outside air flow. I would research intercoolers as a next step. The larger OEM JCW version is a nice piece, but there are aftermarket ones that will perform well too. The intercooler is where the cooler intake charge comes from.
