Exclamation JB N18 issue 2014 Paceman S help!

Hey there, I got a jb n18 for my paceman s and I realized the default setting seemed to weak to notice a difference so I turned the dial to 100 and I was happy with the results. I brought my mini into the dealer and I removed my jb and after words plugged it back in and it doesn't seem like it's working the owner of burger tuning said it takes a few full throttle pulls to adapt and that's it. Which I had done already. With out the jb I can hardly peel first with it I loose traction easily and the car pulls harder in general. What should I do? Any ideas?

Thanks

When you reinstalled the JB+, were you sure to let the car sit for at least 15 minutes after opening the hood? Also, as I recall, it takes about 50-100 miles before the ECU 'learns' the changes, in addition to the full-throttle pulls (which I was not aware the first myself).

They may have reset the adaptations so it may take a few days to get it to relearn before it will be fast again.

My "Grace" must be a very quick learner. After I did the initial install of the JB+ this past weekend she was spinning her tires as soon as I pulled out of our driveway. I took here on our normal daily route and noticed a huge difference in acceleration immediately. The tach was hitting 6500 before shifting and feeling lots of "pull". I have been impressed thus far. If it going to get even better "Woo Hoo!!!"

Sam, I was going to offer a word of caution about running the JB+ at 100%. But if you have run it at 100% and the motor didn't explode , I guess it might be okay.

In my communications with Terry, I got the impression that you should only run the JB+ over 50% if you have a way to monitor A/F ratio and timing, etc
