About key fob...

Hello!

It seems one of my key has 'died'...(yes, already...)

I was alternating between two keys but maybe it wasn't

enough...

I don't have comfort access system so the key should charge

while driving? I won't be able to change the battery myself?

That was what I thought from reading stuff here and there...

We just got in touch with one of the 'service tech' at the

MINI dealer service dept nearby and was told to go change the

battery...

Is that how it works?? Appreciate any input...

Thanx for your time...

(I tried to charge while driving for maybe 30-40 min but still
didn't lock/unlock the car...still battery issue???)

Just to be sure, check the back of your key fob. If it has a removable back, change the battery. If not, take it to the dealer and get it replaced under warranty. There's definitely a defect somewhere if your key died that soon.

chrunck...

Thank you for your reply.

Um...the back of the key...honestly, to me, does not

look like it can be opened...of course, this being my

first ever MINI, maybe I am overlooking something...

Either way, since this is still under warranty, I will

take it to the dealer!

Thank you!
