Hello evryone, i've been the owner of a 2014 Mini Countryman S All4 for about 2 and a half years (now has 106k miles), and ever since i bought the car (it then had about 85k miles), ive been having an oil leak (which i really think has gotten worse within time).
I suspect a rear main seal leak, why? Well, i've already changed the valve cover gasket (and also the valve cover), thermostat housing and all the oil filter housing seals (all 6 of them).
I've cheked plenty of times the oil drops and im sure they're engine oil drops (also my oil level goes down week by week). These oil drops generally drop by the area of maybe a 7-inch diameter circle in which there's the flexible part of the exhaust pipe and the transmission bell and the transfer case.
I've searched for a while now and apparently this is a common issue on the N18 engine.
I don't really have much experience with these Minis, but i surely want to do the job myself (I've seen its really expensive), although doing it myself (given the price of the parts) would only cost me about $10 (for an OEM rear main seal) and quite a bit of manual labor.
