stalling sputtering

2014 Countryman S acted like it wanted to stall at about 55mph (sputtering) and then all the sudden took off. It was also making a loud clicking sound while it was stalling. Then a few minutes later a backfire and it’s been fine. Any ideas? Thank you

First place to check is OBD codes. If you don't have a reader many autoparts stores do it for free. Could be bad gas, bad fuel pump - low or high pressure HPFP, spark plugs, coils, etc.

How many miles on the car? When mine did the sputter, it was the HPFP, but it isn't that simple to diagnose over the internet.

It has about 35k I’ll borrow a code reader and see what it says. It is still under warranty. Do you know where a list of the codes is located?

Plugs and Coils

This happened to me after shortly after getting a Manic Stage 2 tune. Would hesitate under full throttle. Turned out to be the plugs. Once I changed them was running smooth again.

I agree with checking the plugs. Each plug ought to have the right gap and the insulator under the electrode ought to be white.

I found ECSTuning to have very reasonable prices and are great to work with.

As for codes:
