Part Identification Help

Hey guys - Hoping you can help me identify this part. It sits directly below the oil filter (I think), and is leaking coolant.

2013 S All4

Pics are taken from laying down on the road looking up, for reference.

Thanks!

that is the turbo aux water pump. are you sure that IT is leaking and that the leak isnt coming from the top (thermostat housing?).

dry the area up and see where the leak is coming from.

Thanks! You know, it definitely looks like it's leaking from the auxiliary pump, but it sounds like that thermostat housing has been problematic on other Minis. I have not been able to tell with 100% certainty which part is causing the leak (perhaps both).

Strangely, after a 5 hour drive on Saturday, it leaked a ton. However, after two short drives yesterday, it seems to have either stopped leaking or significantly slowed, as there is no new puddle on the street.
