Hard ride on New 2016? Easy fix...
We shopped for our Countryman for many months and when it finally came in, we thought the ride was rough. Far rougher than we noticed during test drives. Disappointing. (We had even gone with the stock wheels versus any of the larger ones, because we thought the ride was better....well, plus we actually liked the look of the stock wheels.)
The dealer's service center gave us the answer "well, those are the run flats". Ugh.
I asked to drive one of the lot models and, lo and behold, the ride was better!
It could be the TIRES. The ones on the lot (with the smoother ride) were Continentals and the ones on the new car were Pirellis. We asked the dealer to swap them out (wheel and all) and the ride became much better for us.
Thought I'd pass this along if any other recent purchaser has the same issue.
