Intense oil leak/spill and loud rattling

So I knew my car needed the turbo oil line and timing chain/timing chain guide replaced but last week as I was driving about 65 mph (I always drive at that speed to save gas money) I heard a loud noise and then a loss of power. Immediately I heard really loud rattling noises inside my engine. The oil light began to flash red and I barely got my car home.

The next day I checked my car and saw my right wheel was soaked with oil and a huge puddle of oil underneath my car.

Does anybody know what the issue could be?
My car is not drivable at the moment and I'm looking for a good repair shop to take into in the Los Angeles/Valley area. I'd appreciate any help.

Been looking through the forum but at this point the best help I can get is if someone can guide me to a good repair shop that's much more reasonable than the dealer in terms of cost. Thanks ahead of time.

Motoring Magic in Thousand Oaks is the best, if you can get it up there to Scott.

Thanks, I appreciate your quick response. Would you say their repair costs are significantly cheaper than the dealers?

Yes, but I would also say that Scott will steer you right and not do things that don't need doing. Cheaper than the dealers, but not cheap, it needs to be done RIGHT too.

Scott is part of our club, is a great guy, and has vast experience with MINIs.

Good luck!

Sounds like it could be expensive, good luck, and I hope you're getting it towed not trying to drive it anywhere else.

Joanie,

Thank you so much for referring me to Scott. I plan on towing my car to Thousand Oaks in the morning. Unlike other places, Scott didn't seem to hold back on the quotes and seems to know exactly what to do with my car. I'm feeling very thankful right now. Hoping the cost doesn't fly above the quotes. Thank you Joanie.
