2012 MC Countryman -Leak, overheating & no heater

Hi all, hoping I can get some insight regarding my 2 month old Countryman.....

I drive minimally (7 miles daily to and from work) and yesterday my red overheating light came on. Drove to work today and turned on the heater and no heat & the overheating light came on. Then I get a call from home saying the car leaked a bluish/greenish fluid! It's a bit disheartening to see these problems when I purchased the car only two months ago.

I am scheduled for an appt at the dealership, but that isn't for a couple of days....I'd like to know if anyone has dealt with these problems or get any info on what could be wrong? Any info and help is needed and appreciated.

I can't say I've read about an issue such as yours yet. It may have to do with the faulty temp sensor!? Did you buy it brand new 2 months ago? Or was it used? Do you know the build date?

Found similar puddle of fluid under my CMS... very small puddle. Took car to dealer next day. Turned out to be faultly coolant pump which dealer replaced. Car had 3,000 miles on it at the time. Overheat lamp never came on but I may not have lost enough coolant for the lamp to be triggered.

Hello...first post here.

Last week, noticed our new Countryman S leaking coolant...immediately took it to dealer and they found the water pump had failed. Car is 5 months old, 4,000 miles. Dealer claims this has not been a widespread problem. They replaced the pump and had the car back to us same day.

Great service, but this is the first vehicle I have ever had with this type of failure so early.

Tom

I hope this is not another sign of issues to come for all you CM owners.

Seems like the "larger" types of Mini's have more than there fair share of headaches. I've read quite a few threads that don't sound very positive.
