I am using a combination of ISTA/P, ISTA/D, Winkfp, NCS expert, and INPA.

by reverse jump start, I think when the previous owner needed a jump, the put the jumper the wrong way

How did I know? well i mistakenly did the same while i was working on the car at night

Was going to ask about the 'reverse jump start' as well. What does that mean?

That's some impressive work there! Respect!
Why did you take out the whole dash and interior ? Is that required to get to all the computers?

So many questions, awesome post!

When i was working at the car at night, i mistakingly flipped the battery. The batt was weak so went and i got a jumper and tried to start the car. I of course fried the modules that i just replaced..lol

since i suspected the car to have an electrical issue, i started ripping every thing out. All of the wires passed visual inspection. The only thing remained was the engine bay. I took everything out to inspect the wires and they passed visual inspection.

With ISTA/D, i started trouble shooting bad modules. NCSexpert and Winfkp were used to code and program the modules. I used ISTA/P to program and code the transmission module.

Well well well...I'm back gain..lol
I took the car for a spin around the area. Drove smooth and comfortably. THEN I get the cute half engine light with not reduced power, but rather shut off the engine... pulled code 2C01 code for fuel rail low pressure. I had three HPFP in which NONE fixed the issue.
I know back when I had the low press fuel pump disconnected, i measured the voltage to be about 12.6V.
yesterday when i disconnected the fuel line, the gas color was more like yellow (pee) and it did not have a strong odor! not sure if that is related but i know i put 3gal of premium gas during the rebuild.

I will check INPA and see if i can get fuel pressure readings.

finally, in the other models, when you open the car you can hear the LPFP priming, but this R60 does not do that. as a matter of fact, the LPFP wont turn until you actually start the car!!

any thoughts?

After some diagnosis, it turned out to be the fuel rail pressure sensor. I got it replaced and drove the car most of the weekend and even got the car inspected...I think we are good at this point.

now, THE END....lol

Nice, hopefully its ok now. This has come a long way. I think you need to tell people it was struck by lighting and brought back to life with superpowers and a fuel pressure sensor.

It's very interesting to see everything removed and to see what's behind the engine, the dashboard, under the seats. Great job!

I just went through this post. Dude, you have the patience of a saint to have done all the work to get that CM running.

I hope you were able to get a decent profit out of the whole experience. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the kind words...I honestly did not make a profit out of it, money wise. I learned from it and gained more experience working on CMs.

This experience is now applied here https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-edittion.html
