"new" 2012 Countryman S All4 Thoughts?
Hi Everyone! First post, I just purchased a 2012 Countryman S All4 with about 110k on it. I'm excited and scared because... high mileage mini. But it's got EXTENSIVE maintenance and service records, the previous owner bought it new and took it to the same dealer for all of the service and maintenance.
I love the look of overlander and rally style cars and plan to do some rallycross with it so I was thinking about some mods. 215/65/r17 All terrains, the M7 Skidplate and bull bar (Mostly just for the looks) and a mild tune to help turn the bigger tires. I was looking at the RaceChip, I've seen positive and negatives about it, but does anyone know if it's likely to cause major problems with our car?

Eventually I'll do a coilover upgrade, brakes and MAYBE a 2" lift, but I'm not sure I want to go that far. I'm an experienced rock crawler and have proper truck built for that, but I do love rally and want to be able to hit some rough "roads" in my mini.
What's your guy's thoughts on these mods? It seems like the mini's suspension and driveline past the motor are pretty good, but do you think the stock shafts and driveline will be okay with the bigger tires and added horsepower? Is the catch can still an important mod for the N18's since they don't seem to have the same fouling problems?
I'm not worried about winning anything, I just like to rally/autox for fun and it's my daily driver as well so I don't wanna do anything too crazy or risky.

I have found that you can do alot of the maintenance on them yourself and save alot of money from the high dealer costs (both parts and labor). For the tune, I started with the Berger JB+ and will move up to the Manic Stage 1 through MarioKart soon. I haven't heard that much good from RaceChips. I think I remember seeing some videos on the Dyno where it had negligible performance change.
