I'm also contemplating on getting them. Did you get them from GoBadges.com? Do they fit nicely?

Yes. I was a little disappointed that it came with a little tube of super glue, and no instructions. Sure common sense, says use the glue, but how much, where, does it ruin the original emblem? I emailed them to find out and got no response. I had 4 pieces of this http://www.findtape.com/product421/J...)#.UcPZxmt5mK0 laying around and it worked perfectly. I put a couple of pieces on each overlay close to the edges and it worked great. I figured if I ever did remove I was only dealing with sticky adhesive rather than super glue. Not sure why they did not include this with the product originally.

Years ago on my R53, I had the badge overlays from Aesthetic Creations, and they used the same double sided tape. Besides that, they are really nice and I am probably going to order the door handle covers next as that is my only parts still chrome.

Thanks. The biggest concern I have with this is that what will happen to the original emblem if ever I change my mind. Did the badge overlays on your R53 hold up to the weather?

Introduced him to his Grandfather...

Yesterday Chaos was introduced to his Grandfather (no name yet) who is now a permanent resident at our house....

He's a 1965 Morris Mini-Minor. Originally from New Zealand, lived in So Cal for awhile, then Utah and now is back in Nor Cal. What a great little car!

Going to the dmv on Monday to register him. Put the paper plate on so as to drive him a little. Already ordered a custom plate: 6T5MINI.

Yep. When I removed them to sell the car they were not easy to get off.

I used plastidip and obviously it's much easier to remove and still looks great.

Looks great 1bigpea.

Did you remove those to put the plastidip on or paint them while on the car? If the latter, what adhesive did you use for the CooperS logo?

thirdraildesignlab 06-21-2013 01:07 PM

That 65 is amazing...

I used plastidip on my last mini and found over time in the hot Texas heat it started to peel.

Congratulations! Nice looking little car. I'm in your neck of the woods today so will be looking out for your MINI's.

Does anyone know how to get to the rear shock towers on the countryman??

thirdraildesignlab 06-24-2013 01:53 PM

Yesterday, I retroffitted my old MINIbee badge holders to fit the Countryman's fatter grille section.

Ok guys and gals. Need your help.

I was driving home from the grocery store today and Connected's Driving Excitement popped up just as soon as I connected my phone. Usually it starts at the Connected menu. And temp gauge (w/in connected) read 32° and then my check engine light came on right after a stop light (sitting next to a Porsche) and I got a high engine temp warning. Check the temp again and still at 32°. I get home and turn off the car, and her fan ran for at least 1-2 minutes. Hasn't done that since I had the temp sensor replaced.

Any ideas or anyone experienced this also?
Thanks for your input.

Why'd you post that in this thread and not start a new one? It's totally unrelated.
