Yep, I am! This wait is killing me though! I was hoping mine got on the boat that went out two weeks prior, but oh well, it ended up sitting on the dock for a couple of weeks.

I went from two cars with the intent of trading one in and selling one outright, I quickly sold both and now I am carless...I have some pretty cool plans for my Pure Orange...err Pure Red Countryman though!

Lets hope the Glorious Leader has a fast and safe journey :-)

Just a quick update...boat is on schedule :-) The waiting is seriously difficult however...delivery cannot come soon enough!

Sweet! Thanks for the update. Have you figured out a way to track the boat? I haven't heard much from my MA as of late. Do you know if our cars will sit at the port in CA for a week before they hit the distribution center? I hope not, I am getting more and more impatient as my estimated delivery date gets closer. Where is your cars final destination? I am in Colorado.

Oh wow awesome...I am in Colorado as well! Did you order it through Ralph Schomp or Loveland? I went through Ralph Schomp. As far as tracking the boat, I have been using Marinetraffic.com, and all you have to do is type the name of the vessel in the box on the map. Sometimes it is out of range but this afternoon I saw it along Baja Mexico.

I was told that the dealer should have the car within a week of port delivery but there is often a few days needed for the delivery inspection. So it shouldn't sit for too long...or it better not anyways!

Nice, now I'll have something extra to do at work tomorrow. I went through Loveland. I emailed both for quotes and Schomp never even responded, I was disappointed with them. My experience with Loveland has been pretty good so far though. How fun our CM's will most likely be on the same truck. I hope they just get on the truck asap, we are so close yet so far haha.

I just checked on marinetraffic.com and am guestimating that the boat is about 250 miles from port. Hoooooray!

Awesome, I heard a lot of good things with Loveland and talked with both and was able to get a better deal through Ralph Schomp since I had some history with the dealership.

The boat was on time and our cars are now on land! Hopefully there are no issues in the initial inspection and they both get here within a week...I would love to do a road trip next weekend to help with the break in miles.

Yeah i talked to my MA yesterday. He said 7-10 days! have you heard of the test drive take down? I guess if you participate in the event you get a $750 off coupon for a new MINI. I asked my MA and he said I couldn't use it but there's a thread on this forum that says the opposite. Just checking to see if Ralph Schomp had told you differently.

Yea I heard abou that and it would not be feasible to get the test drive take down discount. However, the good news is that I will be picking up the MINI Thursday afternoon or early Friday morning. They received the car over the weekend and are currently working on it. I am surprised that it takes that long but oh well, it will be worth it!

I just got home from Loveland's TDTD event. It took some hassaling but they said that they would honor the deal. All I have to do is take my certificate in when I take delivery, let's see if I get the certificate. o.O

Wooohoooo your car is in! Mine is on a truck but not in yet. My MA thinks they should have him tomorrow almost positive by Sat. Happy motoring .

Oh nice! I just saw the Denver event is Thursday...which I may be able to swing the same deal! I will see what I can do!

Oh, and what is exactly required for you to do to get the certificate? Just go in and take a test drive?

All you have to do is register with their marketing team during the event and it arrives via email. I don't think I had to test drive but I did anyways and it made me even more impatient haha. Read the Take Down Test Drive thread on this forum it has some good info and some lingo to help you bargain your way. I printed out the picture of the certificates restrictions (on that thread) and took that with me as well. The more knowledgeable you are about it the more likely they'll bend your way. I'll have to wait and see if they really will honor it upon delivery. Good luck with your attempt!

Thanks, I just got done reading the entire thread on it...very informative! The event would be on the same day as my delivery (most likely) or delivery would be the next day. $750 is worth the effort though so I signed up and I will take your advice and bring in the printout from the thread.

You may have just saved me $750! :-)

Well, good news! I talked to them on the phone and they were reluctant at first but after referring them to the MINI Test Drive Take Down thread, they called me back and agreed to it. So I will be going to the event and taking delivery afterwards tomorrow...I am so excited!

Thanks again Adriana, I owe you a beer or something lol!

Well, I finally picked up the Countryman yesterday and I just love it! The $750 was applied right away to the deal with no issues and I didn't even have to drive anything. I have already received a number of compliments on the car and now I am trying to get appointments to do some initial mods.

Did you finally pick your MINI up Adriana? Did everything go smoothly for you?

Hooray! That's awesome that they applied it. I love hoe technology and the internet works in the consumers favor.

I have an appointment to pick up "Stormie" at 10am tomorrow, I am so freakin' excited!!! I think everything should go really smooth. I talked to my MA today and he reassured my that I would be getting the extra $750 off. I have an appointment to get tint next weekend. What mods are you thinking of doing?

Thats great! You will be finding reasons to drive lol. As far as mods, I have the rear bicycle carrier (pretty slick), and I will be getting a full clear bra, ceramic tint on everything including the windshield (legal clear tint), and sunroof. I plan on getting HID fog lights and might do some other LED mods once I know for sure that coding works on the 2012's. I am debating on stripes...I really like the look of it as is. I have ordered larger tires to get rid of the run flats. I ordered cocomats that go with the pure red interior, and I have been debating about tinting the tail lights a little bit and smoking out all the side marker/turn signal lights.

These are all the mods I will do right away...I may start blacking out the chrome etc. Intake/exhaust etc will come later on down the road when more options are available.

How about you?

You are going to have one bad *** looking CM.

Everything went smooth with delivery, I even got 2 free shirts. The $750 off was no problem. I couldn't decide on doing the extended maintenance package and that took the longest but ended up going with that since I had already saved an extra $750 the extra cost of the package wasn't as bad. I opted out of the extended warranty, $3,000 was a little steep.

I love my Stormie!!! I haven't had enough excuses to drive haha. My boyfriend, brother and I sat in it last night for an hour or so just watching the ambient lighting colors change and listening to the AMAZING Harmon Kardon stereo. It is soooo nice and I'm so glad I opted for it. I can't find the sub though and am starting to wonder if it even has one.

For now I am just going to do tint. I've never heard of ceramic tint. Is it better than regular, more expensive? I'm considering a clear bra as well but haven't quite decided. My last car was a sparkly metallic grey (it was a Mustang, so that brownish-greyish color) and it hid dirt so well; Stormie, not so much. I keep seeing little dirt spots everywhere. I may be spending my weekends cleaning and waxing him.

Here is my new friend...

Just a note to say that I'm waiting on my All4 to arrive at Schomp, and this thread has calmed my nerves a bit. Thanks!
