If your Mini made it onto a non-WW line vessel (K Line for instance) or an independent ship under contract to WW (like my vessel, the Platinum Ray), the VIN will never show up on WW's site.

My vessel cleared the Panama Canal last night and has disappeared into the Pacific...

My MA gave me the arrival date at Port Hueneme (22 Feb); then I went to the Pt. Hueneme arrival schedule and found the vessel name:
http://www.portofhueneme.org/documen...l_schedule.pdf

I see the Sagitarius Leader coming in 1 March with BMW's for instance. (there are lots of banana vessels coming in, and some car carriers from Japan or Korea but these are easy to see).

Mine has been at the dealer 70 miles away for the past week. Snow prevented me from picking it up last Friday.

I can hope, can't I?! But I haven't heard anything. And I kinda doubt it. Mine may be leaving on the 17th, especially if it's going to Brunswick.

How does anyone know where their car is going? How would I find out if my car is going to Brunswick or not? I mean, I assume so because after that my car comes to Texas, but we all know where assuming gets you...

there are many boats that leave weekly. depends on the line that picks up the cars as they arrive at the port whether you can track them.

Have you heard about a change in your status?

Thanks for the info. No change yet. I called on Monday and they said it had moved to "ready for production" - but not on the assembly line yet. It's exactly two weeks today, so I'm assuming they should start making it soon. I'm going to call again on Friday just to check in.

No new info from ASK MINI, but I'll email my MA tomorrow. I'm still hoping I made the Turandot, too.

A couple of things:
First, I searched for the Turandot here, and it lists Brunswick as a port, with arrival on March 5th. So this is an option, at least for me.

Second, I found out that my car is going to Brunswick through the How to Track Your MINI post and the "Vehicle Inquiry" printout that my MA gave me when I ordered my car. This printout is the one that shows all of the options that I specified for the car. In the header on the first page, there's a field labeled "Port Loc." Next to that field are the letters SSIPOA. The How to Track Your Mini post says that SSIPOA is Brunswick. I'm guessing that for Texas, your car will come through Brunswick. My 05 Mini came through Charleston. I am guessing that they opened the Vehicle Distribution Center in GA after that time.

Anyway, I am still being positive about the Turandot. Our cars could have made it. Seeing posts from others when previous ships left, it looks like tracking information for shipping is often delayed. I'll definitely have the shakes this time tomorrow though, if I don't hear anything.

I really guessing mine will come to GA. Unfortunately, since we did everything by phone and email with our MA, we don't have the piece of paper you refer to. We our order information and receipt, but there is no Port Loc field.
We're going to email our MA and ask him. I'm sure the poor guy is tired of us by now.

He will probably just know what port feeds the Mini's for your dealership. Hopefully he will be happy to hear from you.

I guess tomorrow I'll have one hand on the phone calling 1-866-ASK-MINI and the other hand on the keyboard to check the Wallenius Wilhelmsen site to see if my VIN shows up on the Turandot.

I have my production number memorized, and I may have my VIN memorized too before this is done.

When I lived in Texas and ordered mine, it came in through Galveston. Many of the ships go to Galveston, you just have to check their itineraries. I imagine the trip from Georgia to TX is a heck of a lot longer than Houston to Dallas? Maybe things have changed though!

Since we are on the same vessel, did your MA tell you when you can pick up your car? My MA told me that it should be ready for pick up 3-5 days after Feb 22.

Did you get that information from your MA or from 1-866-ASK-MINI? I'm still trying to figure out if mine made it onto the ship or not.
