99% Of the time the clear bra is applied over the stripes, at least from my experience. An installer who knows what there doing can remove the film if need be without damaging the paint as well as the stripes.
This picture reminded me, there's a post here somewhere that mentions the back of the CM getting a lot of dirt and roas debris... Does anyone know if mudflaps help with that?
Thank Bernoulli for that.
But hey, at least we can fly airplanes for the same reason
This thread was so helpful with my last question about the bump I thought I'd ask another - what is the distance between the two windshield sprayer things? Still working on my stripe configuration to keep me busy while I wait for my Countryman to come in...
Newest phots of Bandit with his new stripes(ordered him with Bonnet Stripes when I ordered him last year)..grew tired of the "generic" bonnet stripes and opted for a local guy to re-do his stripes..think they turned out AWESOME...now have to find chili red mirror caps(to expensive from MINI-JCW mirror covers and S grille inserts-to much, plus I have a Non S so can't use the red inserts anyway)...anyone got a pair of chili red non power fold mirror caps????????
Here is my dirty countryman lifted 2" with new rally armor mud flaps. The flaps really help with the mud pattern esp in the boot window. The lift really did not effect the handling much except a little tail happy- can you say drift Install and custom alignment by Detroit Tuned.
Nice stripes! Where did you get the two color ones? I've noticed the original minis have 2 times in their stripes.like black with a silver outline. Haven't seen any like that for the countryman. Anyone else know where to find the 2 tone stripes?

Looks really good Jillrnc - glad to hear you're continuing to get the tires dirty

Had a local guy do my new stripes.....it is solid one color(black and white) and then he put a red pinstripe outling all of them......
Took the weekend in the garage and back yard "paint shop" and the grey dash trim is now gloss black. Add the gl1 cable, iPad & mount with dash command, and adjustable short shift kit, and the interior is getting somewhere good. The engine with NM intake and heat shield really makes Geoffrey sound mean.
A CM after my own heart - it's got a thing for a woman in uniform.
Sealy - Who'll hug just about anything with a shoulder patch and boots.
Haha! Sealy you crack me up! I give a giggle every time I read your signatures! It's funny I sign my emails with little signatures too. I truly appreciate a good wit!
Lonnie - that's got to be over 100lbs of bike back there, huh? Do you feel it when you're driving?
It's right at 100lbs including the rack, but it surprisingly didn't seem to impact the handling too much from a weight distribution perspective, although I did notice slower acceleration with the car being weighed down overall (3 guys + gear). I like the ease of loading and better aerodynamics with this rack, but one thing I'm not crazy about is how much it sways fore and aft on road dips.
