"All4" exhaust on FWD R60?

I'm looking at the Milltek exhaust for my FWD "S" Countryman.

http://www.millteksport.com/exhaust....?variantid=363

It is listed for the All4. Any reason why this couldn't fit on my FWD Countryman? Logically, I can see an exhaust for an FWD not working on the All4, but I would think an exhaust that worked for the All4 could go both ways.

Anyone with any first-hand experience on this issue (i.e., whether an All4 exhaust will fit an FWD Countryman)?

I believe that the issue is that the rear side of the All4 transmission takes up a lot more space, therefore the muffler needs to be designed to fit. Could be that it fits in the much roomier space available in the FWD, but I'm not sure.

Exactly. It would seem to me that the All4 has stuff that the FWD doesn't, and therefore that design elements that were indispensable on the All4 would be, at worst, merely superfluous on the FWD.

I tell ya, though: I am really regretting getting a FWD rather than the All4. I don't really need the AWD in San Diego, but I had no idea how few the aftermarket options there were for the FWD model.

It's like:

R56/57/58/59 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> R60 All4 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> R60 FWD

I think the flex pipe comes out at a different angle on the FWD vs the AWD, so you would probably have trouble fitting it. Never personally been under a FWD, though.

Well, the guys at ETG confirmed through Milltek that it won't work. Way of WMW said the same. Too bad.

It looks like the only current aftermarket options for a downpipe-back exhaust on the FWD R60 are Quicksilver, VIP, or custom. I am leaning toward a custom exhaust to get the tone just right.
