On the N18, you're looking at 197bhp up from 181bhp.

Kit costs around $2600-2900, so figure a bit more on the R60 if/when it comes out.

There are easier and cheaper ways to make that power, but the ECU isn't one of them yet.

I'm in the US, but found a place in the UK that would let me ship my Countryman box to them, they'd remap it and ship it right back (Performance Torque). Good reputation from everything I saw, and they do all of these encrypted boxes by doing the bench reload (and they do a lot of Minis). Only reason I didn't get it done was they got a bit busy prior to me shipping it, and I got tired of waiting and just went with a sensor spoof box.

There are plenty of places in the US that will do the same and have posted results here. The results are quite dramatic to say the least.

There are many reasons why not to do this to your DME, but it's up to you after all. If you really want it done, call Way @ WMW.

Regardless of the law, and how you want to pursue a claim (court, arbitration, etc), Mini is notorious for nullifying your warranty for DME modifications of this nature. It's not something like a flasher that many here use (that's not available for the R60 yet). Just want to point that out before you do something like this.

Understand. Mini engines are pretty stout, and I'm more interested in the warranty for window motors and the like, which they'd still cover no matter what I do to the drivetrain.

Does anyone know what actual 1/8th or 1/4 mile times (not just dyno) are for CM All4 S automatic folks who've had their ECUs remapped?

They cancel more than just the drivetrain when the DME is hard-coded, but you get the idea.

I think they just have the dyno info, but the gains are just huge. I wouldn't be surprised if it brought the car into the low 14s on the 1/4 with a boost in power & shifting like that. I mean, we're talking about adding 60bhp (33% of the total HP). If you do the normal drag calcs, that should take it from 15.8 -> 14.2 or thereabouts.

Wow... I'd be worried about how long the All4 system would last with that level of power. That rear differential doesn't look that big.

I can't imagine it would last all that long. I'm not even sure adding another 30hp wouldn't be catastrophic to the All4, but I guess we'll find out eventually.
