After searching for this topic,on the R59, I have only seen one topic, and it never had a reply.

I removed the passenger seat to replace the cabin filter, because I'm older than I was, and can't squeeze myself into that area to get the new K&N Installed. I unplugged the only seat multi-pin connector to remove it, but after I reinstalled that connector and relocked the pin on that plug and reinstalled the seat, now there is a passenger seat warning that stays on. Is there any type of reset I can do, or am In doomed to take it to the dealer to have it reset?

Side Note:
Cleaned the tracks, and applied a little WD-40 to the cabin filter tracks inside that filter box, and the K&N VF5000 filter slid right up in there with no issues.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hello,

Reset (clear code) is with the schwaben tool. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-schwaben...020sch01a~scf/

Next time if you have to unplug the seats or anything with the seat removal, make sure to disconnect the battery on the car.

Awesome! Another tool! I bet the Dealer would charge more to reset the light, than the price of this tool! Is this tool also needed when replacing the battery?

I’ve bought a lot of ECS upgrades since owning this Mini. Just ordered a new set of wheels yesterday.

Thanks Again!

Welcome and glad to help! Thanks for the support!

If you use the scanner more then once it saves you going to the dealer, pays for itself.

Yep you can reset the battery if you have IBS. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ong-drive.html
