Color By Numbers
Hey guys, Just thought it might be a cool idea to get a spread of our roadsters in their respective colors. Maybe put an end to the myth that PW is the most favored color out there?!?!

AutoTrader R59 Colors...
Several weeks ago I was wondering about the color "distribution" of R59's in the US.
I used AutoTrader as a convenient data base, and focused only on Cooper S roadsters. AutoTrader had 438 listings with a 60/40 ratio of automatic to manual transmissions. (I was surprised that 6 out of 10 roadsters listed on AutoTrader were automatics. Personally, unless I had a disability in my left leg, I wouldn't consider an automatic. You miss half the fun! Anyway, this is about color, not transmissions.)
All listings considered were for new cars from dealer stock. 34 of the AutoTrader listings did not specify a color. Of the ones which did, here is the color distribution based on my AutoTrader "snapshot".
1. Chili Red (86)
2. Pepper White (71)
3. Midnight Black (57)
4. White Silver (49)
5. Eclipse Gray (40)
6. Lightning Blue (31)
7. Spice Orange (22)
8. Kite Blue (18)
9. Br. Racing Green (16)
10. Reef Blue (14)
You Reef Blue Cooper S drivers with a manual transmission are the rarest breed. Only four new ones are available at Mini dealers (who post in AutoTrader) across the entire US.
Keep this thread going! This snapshot only tells us what colors are available, not what people have ordered and are driving, or have ordered and waiting for delivery.
