No news is good news!!!

I don't know how many r59 owners are active on this site, but its been a year and I haven't read any complaints ... That is good news! I just visited my 135i site... They love the car, even though significant bitching... I was one of them. I had nightmares of my friggin check engine light blinking... At one point , I was bringing the car back to the dealership every 6-8 weeks. That is what motivated me to start looking around, eventually finding the roadster, my new auto in 6-8 weeks... I know it has only been a year.... Many of you, however, have put on considerable mileage... And still good news ... Knock on wood!!!
For you Roadster owners from Massachusetts, as soon as the driving ban is lifted, take the car out... Report back !
All the best,
JoNack

I hope you will not have any significant issues with your new Roadster. Mine has been great. Are you going to name your new car? Seems like most Mini owners do.

Sorry about the 135i problem. My only issue was the factory recalled fuel pump. Other than that one time event, it was bullet proof.

Haven't thought about naming .... Do most name their roadsters, and are there any protocols to follow ( gender , etc) , or am I free to choose any name?

You are free to choose gender and name. I tried find a name that fit the car. Wears black, female and tough - Trinity (from The Matrix).

I've got 4000 miles since December 13th when I bought it.

12 hours with the top down so far.

No problems at all...

I have a set of Blizzak's in my garage that where on one of my Miata's, but I'm a little too lazy to check the size and have them put on.

When I bought the tires from Firestone they came with lifetime swap outs.

I drove in the last storm with 3 inches of snow with no problem on the all weather's, so maybe I'll wait till next year...

Not sure if I'll name it. My wife has a 2011 Hot Chocolate Cooper with the white roof. She named it "Cupcake"

Trinity, that's pretty cool, you can see it in the lines ..........

No problems here. We had quite a lot of snow left on the driveway after the second plowing, and it's fine. If the roads hadn't still been wet I would have gone to work top-down yesterday, it was nice and sunny when I left.
