This roof manages to have some curvature to it. Not bad looking at all!

I agree totally with the looks of the Roadster top up...still looks great. The proportions are so much better than the Convertible, which has a very large C pillar. I think the Roadster will still look pleasing to the eye ten years from now...good proportions

I may be biased because I have a Roadster on order but I also think it looks great with the top up.

It looks better than the coupe because the rear of the top is curved down smoothly and doesn't have that backwards extended baseball cap feel.

Not that I dislike the Coupe but I personally think the Roadster is Mini's best looking car in the entire lineup, top up or top down.

When you're right, you're right!

That said, if we weren't such fans of toplessness, the Coupe would be my next choice.

I don't use the radio, so reception isn't a concern. I'm more worried about poking myself in the eye as I'm getting stuff from the boot. A stubby antenna would be difficult to hurt myself on!

hey spiney.. do you have a stubby antenna on your roadster?? and do you know if the 2011 stubby antennas for Cooper S will work with the 2012 roadster? i'm looking on ebay and everyone has 2011 but nothing that matches the 2012 roadster.

I have the CraevnSpeed stubby on my Coupe JCW. It works great and I have no issues with the Radio or HD Radio. They give you different post inserts, I am assuming one for the R56 and ones for the R58/59.

swooshmac, I don't have one, but I'm definitely planning to do it, almost took my eye out the other day!

Keysersozeh, thanks for the info, I'll take a look at that one!

EDIT: Ordered one. They list 2012 Roadster specifically on the site (http://www.cravenspeed.com), it's part number CRMC-0015-DD, and it's only $20.

Thanks! 99% of my use has been XM (different antenna of course) or my iPhone. Radio seemed fine in town, but if you see issues it would be with distant stations and that's something I haven't investigated.

Much happier with the look though!

Don
