More details... Looks like my repair actually consisted of two wiring parts. It did not include the solenoid. Wondering if it should have.

So.. I dont know how to read the supercedes part. Doe it look like I have a part that is superceded by new ones. Sorry for all this thread posting.

That is just a repair kit. You hook it to your leaking solenoid and push it into your engine. It may work and save BMW money. I didn't use it and instead used the new part number solenoid. So far no problems at all. And it has been some time now as well as lots of miles.

I just have the same issue on my R56 Works GP built 12/2012. 50000 km (31060 miles) on it. Warranty is already gone.
I'll see what my Dealer says about this well-known Problem.
