Questions on buying used 2012 Coup

I might be checking out a 2012 mini coup s automatic transmission in a couple days. Few questions for the experts. Has 120k miles, asking 7300 + taxes and tag fees good price? Also can a guy of my weight and height fit comfortably in it 6'2 350lbs ? I'm looking for a 2dr coup sports car and this one caught my eye since I don't see many of them in my area. My Max to spend on a car is 11k and I'm waiting to have a little head way to customize my new car to what I want. How expensive are mini repairs?

I would definitely have a professional Mini Cooper mechanic check the car. After 120k miles, you would expect things to wear out. Getting the maintenance records would only indicate the past history. You will have fun driving the little turbo.

You might want to also check out a hatchback. It will have much more cargo room & pretty much run just as hard.

JMO, any used turbo car with over 100K miles will be a money pit.

Did you try it on for size?????

I'm big and I fit (in an R59 and earlier models), but you've some size on me ......

depends on where you get 'em done! You can find local folk who can do routine maintenance for little. A local mechanic can do many things, but may fall short IF he doesn't have the full suite of BMW diagnostic tools.

OTOH While the MINI appears to be a small and inexpensive sport coupe they are extremely complicated and computer driven. MINI is a BMW company and therefore the dealers tend to charge BMW rates (altho don't misunderstand, a BMW dealer will NOT work on a MINI in most cases) ....

In the end ... expect the repair or maint' cost to exceed a Honda . . . . unless you turn wrenches yourself

Buying a used car at 120K is tricky. As for size, I believe you will feel cramped because this is a small and narrow car.

It's the same amount of front seat space as the other Minis. The car's on the same identical frame too. As for price I think the Mini dealer gave me about $8k when I traded in my 2007 MCS (cost $30k) for my 2014 JCW Coupe (cost $40k). It only had 70k miles on it though.
